Adopt-A-Family

The Long Beach Cancer League/American Cancer Society’s Adopt-A-Family project helps to make celebrating the holidays possible and festive for families living and coping with a diagnosis of cancer.

In 2016, we touched the lives of many financially challenged families with a child that has cancer and is in treatment at Jonathan Jaques Cancer Center at Miller Children's Hospital. We tried our best to fulfill the wishes of the family as well as the child with cancer. Each family receives a food card to help them buy groceries for their holiday dinner.

Adopt-A-Family Families Served

At a time of the year when we all count our blessings, the Long Beach Cancer League and the American Cancer Society want to remember others who are going through difficult times and spending most of their money on cancer treatments.

Your generous donations help make this dream of a festive holiday possible.
