There were more than 300 people at the June 3 Long Beach Cancer Leagues annual gala.

Guests enjoyed cocktails, dining and auctions. This year, the League added pop-up tents by Alcove and Rock Obsession. There was a special memorial for charter member Myrna Wigod.

The successful evening grossed more than $224,000 for local cancer hospitals affiliated with the Memorial Care Foundation. The funds were designated for the Wellness Support Programs at Todd Cancer Institute and Jonathan Jacques Children's Cancer Institute.
